A lucid dream is one in which you control the outcome.
You actually become conscious in your dream and take on the role of director rather than your dream taking you all over the place in whatever way it wants.
Dream therapists say that we can change our lives by becoming lucid dreamers.
I say it in a different way.
I tell you that when the time comes to be writing your own wedding or commitment vows, that you must sit down together and get very clear about the dream you have for your life together.
This is your waking dream.
This is the dream that is your marriage or your partnership.
You take the elements that you want to experience in your relationship on an ongoing day-to-day and year-to-year projection and talk them out.
Then write them down.
(Think it, ink it!) Based on what you wrote you then begin writing your wedding vows as promises to each other on what you will do to keep that dream alive and thriving.
When you have done that and gotten very clear about the way you want your lives to be, you begin to live that dream because you planted it as a seed into the universal medium of growth and you will be drawn to the things, people, idea, experiences and opportunities that reflect that dream.
Sometimes, though, you get off track.
The lucid part of you realizes when your dream is not following the course that you set.
You let opinions, world events, or other drama's to lead you away from your heart's desires.
When you realize that you are off course, then consciously determine what turned you away from what you want, and reaffirm what the dream looks like and feels like, recolor it passion, inspiration and determination, and direct it the way you want it to go.
I'm not meaning that you are not open to inspiration that will show you new turns or twists that are more life-affirming than your present direction, because if your ladder is up against the wrong wall you want to know that and move it.
Meaning that sometimes you want things that are not for your highest and greatest good, and experience will show you a different way of doing things.
Mainly you have to be the decision maker in your lives.
Lucid dreaming is making choices, not settling for second best, especially when it comes to your marriage.
Do not let the opinions of the world, the situations around you, negative people, or the temporary imbalance in your relationship drive you away from your dream.
Stay firm.
Stay clear.
Make decisions.
Laugh often.
Love all the time.
Carl Jung stated that the collective consciousness (collective energy such as fear) is one of the major drivers of all of existence.
And so the question you must ask yourself is: Are you going to create an amazing adventure...
A dream beyond your wildest imagination? Or are you going to create a nightmare? The choice is yours.
