Suction

• When using your Electrolux vacuum, if you experience no suction from the floor nozzle or the hose handle, ensure that the suction control valve is set to the floor setting. Make sure that all filters are clean, and if not, replace them. Your rear air tube or hoses may be blocked. Your owner's manual (See References.) will instruct you on how to check both of these areas of your vacuum.
  
  

Water

• If water enters the vacuum cleaner and it stops working, you can't do anything to fix it. You must have the motor replaced by an Electrolux service center. Water damage is also not covered by your Electrolux warranty. Decide whether the cost to replace the motor is worth it, or if you might be better off buying a new vacuum.
  
  

Power

• If your Electrolux vacuum will not start, make sure the cord is plugged into a live outlet. Also ensure that the cord and plug are not damaged. You may also have blown a fuse or tripped the circuit breaker. Check these, and fix them before powering up your vacuum. If the vacuum cleaner just stops in the middle of cleaning, check the bag. It may be full and need to be replaced. If this isn't the problem, check to see if the hose or nozzle is clogged with something. The filters may also need to be cleaned or replaced. If none of these solve your problem, refer to your owner's manual (See References.), and check the "Thermal Cut Off" section.
