Adorning your walls with art and pictures is an easy way to infuse your home with your personality or change the entire look of a room. If you are decorating a girl's bedroom, adding wall art will create a cozy haven for her. The type of art you choose depends on a few different factors. For instance, if you are renting your home or apartment, you may not want to or be allowed to paint a mural on a wall. - Create art with removable wall decals. These are ideal if you rent your home, as they can be removed without damaging paint, and they can also be repositioned easily in a different spot. Wall decals are relatively inexpensive and come in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Choose decals that correspond to the room's theme. For example, if the room has a Disney theme, add decals of Disney characters and a princess castle.
- Painting a mural on a large wall is a dramatic way to decorate a room. Create a tropical oasis in your girl's room by painting a beach scene with palm trees and sunshine, or create a tranquil forest scene. Murals may be better suited to those who own their homes; renters may be required to paint over murals when they move.
- Hang framed posters in your girl's bedroom. To create a unified look, choose posters that are the same size and use black frames for all of them. Find posters of characters from her favorite animated television show or her favorite movie. Or she may prefer pictures of puppies, kittens, flowers, sunsets, or stuffed animals.
- Make a picture wall in your girl's room. Put photos of friends and family members in frames of the same color. If you don't already have frames that are the same color, use a bright spray paint to make them uniform. Hang the frames in neat rows on the wall.
