- 1). Push the applicator into the nozzle on a can of compressed air. Place the tip of the car key into the lock to push back the lock closure. The lock closure is the part that seals the lock from dust and debris when there is no key in it.
- 2). Place the applicator tip at the lock opening. Press the nozzle to spray air into the lock. Loose dirt or debris will fly out of the lock toward you.
- 3). Cut the tip off a tube of graphite power with scissors. Place the tip inside the lock. Squeeze the graphite tube to squirt the powder into the lock until it backflows out of the lock.
- 4). Repeat this procedure to clean each door and hatch lock on the Honda.
