- 1). Draw an AC power supply. It is represented by a circle. Inside the circle, draw an "S" laying on its side.
- 2). Draw a transformer by drawing two coils. In between the two coils, draw two vertical lines. Label the first coil "P" for primary and the second coil "S" for secondary.
- 3). Draw a line from one end of the primary coil to the AC power supply. Draw a second line from the other end of the primary coil to the AC power supply.
- 4). Draw a light bulb which is represented by a circle with an "L" in the center. Draw a line from the light bulb to one end of the secondary coil. Then draw a second line from the opposite end of the secondary coil to the light bulb. This completes the circuit diagram. This circuit represents a transformer being powered by an AC power supply. The light bulb then receives its power from the secondary side of the power transformer.
