- 1). Park the 2006 Dodge Ram on flat ground and engage the parking brake before proceeding.
- 2). Open the Ram's hood and remove the two bolts on the inner part of the headlight assembly with a ratchet and socket.
- 3). Detach the rubber plug from the front, inner fender well, in front of the wheel. This exposes the rear headlight assembly nut. Remove this nut with a ratchet and socket.
- 4). Pull the headlight assembly forward to remove it from the Ram 3500. Turn the headlight over and locate the headlight bulb, the light on the inner part of the headlight assembly.
- 5). Unplug the wiring harness plugging into the rear of the headlight assembly, by pressing the locking button and pulling it from the headlight.
- 6). Grab the rear of the headlight bulb and turn it counterclockwise to unlock it. Pull the headlight bulb from the headlight assembly.
- 7). Insert the new H13 bulb into the headlight assembly, lining up the tabs on the bulb with the notches on the assembly. Turn the bulb clockwise to lock it into place.
- 8). Plug the wiring harness into the rear of the headlight bulb and listen for it to click into place.
- 9). Reinstall the headlight assembly on the front of the Ram 3500, tighten the two front bolts and rear nut to 6 foot-pounds with a torque wrench and socket. Press the rubber plug back into place inside the front, inner wheel well.
