- 1). Go to Old Version and click "AOL Instant Messenger," located under the "Communication" section.
- 2). Scroll down to AOL Instant Messenger 6.9.x. There are four different revisions of AIM 6.9 to choose from. Click one of them, keeping in mind that the newest version is located further up the list.
- 3). Wait for the download box to appear on your next screen and choose a location to save the file to. Double-click it when your download completes to begin the install process.
