- 1). Enter "Fluorescent" in the "Find recycling centers" field on the Earth 911 website (see Resources). Type your zip code in the "Near" field and click "Search."
- 2). Review the list of fluorescent recycling centers and contact the center you prefer. Pick a redemption option provided by the recycling center. For example, this may involve scheduling a time for lamp pickup or drop-off.
- 3). Contact the projector manufacturer and inquire about lamp mail-back services. Depending on your lamp supplier, there may be free or low-cost methods to package your expired projector lamp and ship it for proper disposal.
- 4). Place the lamp inside a plastic shopping bag and tie the bag shut. Dispose of it with the household trash if no recycling option is available in your area.
