- 1). Remove the nut and bolt holding the top end of the old steering stabilizer shock to the suspension with your socket set.
- 2). Remove the nut and bolt from the bottom end in the same manner. Set the old shock aside.
- 3). Position the new steering stabilizer shock in place of the old one and attach the top end by pushing the bolt through the top eyelet and fastening it in place with the nut. Tighten the bolt and nut down with the socket set.
- 4). Align the bottom eyelet of the steering stabilizer shock with the bracket. If the bottom eyelet on the steering stabilizer shock does not line up, use the wire cutters to snip the plastic retaining ring off the shock, which will allow the shock to decompress. Once you have the bottom eyelet lined up with the bracket, slip the bolt in place and tighten it, and the nut, down. If the steering stabilizer shock decompresses too far, simply compress it into place by hand.
