Power Screwdrivers: God's Gift to Womankind!
I never knew how wonderful power a power screwdriver could be until it and my ex-husband disappeared on the same day. He knew what was important! Towels, sheets, soap €" nope! But this tool is worth its weight in gold.
A power driver gives you back the gift of time. A bookcase is assembled in minutes, not tedious hours. Medicine cabinets, annoying panels that need to be undone €" minutes again! And not going nuts and getting cranky€¦.our peace of mind is above rubies.
Here I was all on my own. Yes, the boys tried to help but were hacking away trying to help Mom with the old Phillips head screwdriver. I hadn't a clue where this amazing gadget the power screwdriver had come from or how to replace it. Yet I knew I didn't need to live this way or break down and call someone.
So I started checking around. After all, I could pay between $15 with a coupon and hundreds of dollars. Just what kind of power screwdriver did I need and where to get it?
First, I wanted something cordless. Who needs a power screwdriver that ties you down like a vacuum cleaner? Second, I didn't want any complicated parts. I just need a few sizes in regular and Philips head attachments. And third, rechargeable. I don't think anyone can afford to €feed€ a hungry screwdriver dozens of AA or D batteries.
I wandered the stores and my first love was this invincible Dewalt power screwdriver, the VSR Heavy Duty DW255, able to attach drywall with a simple burst of staples. I felt like Jane Bond herself, ready to eliminate SMERSH, SPECTRE and Al-Qaida. Still at $100, it MIGHT not need it to assemble some bookcases.
So I went back and spent some time with the natty Black and Decker Lithium Ion Smartdriver Compact Screwdriver L13100. Wow, can you feel the energy? A little pricey at almost $50 but able to handle anything in my home. I felt like Annie Got Her Gun and wanted to wear it in my holster.
Since my projects are modest I decided on a fling with a more modest rechargeable power screwdriver. Half the job, true, but half the funds. Small, cute and really gets the job done on picture-hanging, vents, toys and those miscellaneous household tasks. You can pick up the Black and Decker 9072 Cordless Rechargeable Screwdriver for about $25.
I'm grateful to all these of these power screwdrivers, how much I learned having them around, how easy it is to take care of my household and how each of them made me feel like Supergirl. Thank you, Black and Decker!
