Brown County Wisconsin includes thirteen towns, nine villages and the cities of DePere and Greenbay, which is the county seat. The area is famous for cheese-making and agriculture is a main industry. Outdoor activity is also a part of the economy. One of their pride and joys is the Green Bay Packers football team. They won the first two Super Bowls and have won ten times since. Brown County also offers some of the countries finest sport fishing and golfing. Plan a trip to the area and make time to enjoy some fun activities. - The Green Bay Botanical Garden contains 47 acres of display gardens that capture the beauty of the Wisconsin landscape. About 20 acres of its 47 are equipped for the physically challenged and can be accessed by wheel chair or scooter. Guided tours can be arranged for in advance but the Garden is always open for self-guided tours. Parking is free and food and drinks are allowed. Admission for adults is $7 and $2 for children ages 5-12 as of 2010.

gbbg.org - The Fox River Trail meanders from Green Bay along the Fox River then passes through Allouez, De Pere, Rockland and Greenleaf. The trail is paved with asphalt in the urban sections from Green Bay to De Pere. The southern sections are crushed stone and some parts are designated for horse back riding. In Allouez there is an outdoor fitness challenge course and St. Francis park is equipped with a gazebo and benches overlooking the Fox River. There is no fee for walkers or joggers. As of 2010 the daily fee for bicyclists, rollerbladers and horseback riders was $3 or an annual fee of $20.

foxrivertrail.com - The New Zoo is just ten miles from downtown Green Bay. Their mission is to promote recreation and conservation through guests encounters with live animals. The zoo is open seven days a week all year and is available for birthday parties. There is a restaurant on the premises and guest can feed the giraffes, visit the endangered species carousel or walk around the children's zoo. There are picnic areas to enjoy, along with volley ball courts and shelters that can be rented for special events. Rates as of 2010 were $15 per family.
