Having a house full of young friends might be one of the happiest birthday memories your child will have. It might be a very stressful and difficult experience for you, though. Knowing a few simple indoor birthday party games will help create fun-filled, stress-free memories. - Wrap up a bunch of small toys and/or candy to make a bunch of small presents. Divide the children into teams of two. Have eacg team take turns rolling dice. Each child on the team should roll one die. If the numbers come up the same on each die, then each child on that team gets to choose a present. Continue playing until all the presents are gone or each child has a present.
- Tape a small piece of paper with a name or word on it to every child's back, such as "Spider-Man" or "rock star." Each child should go around the room asking the other children "yes" or "no" questions about who or what he is supposed to be. The first child to guess correctly wins. This game can be especially fun if your child is having a themed birthday party. If this is the case, everyone can be someone relevant to that theme.
- Put each child's name in a hat. Draw names to decide who takes each turn. Blindfold the child who is playing this turn and put a small toy in her hands. If she can guess what it is just by feeling it, then she wins that toy.
- Blow up a bunch of balloons and divide them into two bags. Divide the children into two teams. Place the bags at one end of a hall and the children at another. At the word "Go," one child from each team should race down the hall, pull a balloon out of the bag and try to pop it by sitting on it. Once he pops the balloon, he races back to his teammates and tags one, who then runs for another balloon. The team to pop all of its balloons first wins.
- Throw a balloon up into the air. The children should bounce it back and forth to each other without letting it hit the floor. If the balloon touches the floor, the last person to touch it is out. The winner of the game is the last child left playing.
