As we look around we see so many people don't seem to care, it's all about them, what they want, and they couldn't care less about anyone else.
That would sure be an unfortunate way to live one's life, but so many people do.
One has to ask if they're happy or not? Now don't get me wrong, I am not one of those people who is against ego.
In fact, I am all for ego as long as it is earned.
I believe strength of character, self-confidence, and a healthy ego is a good thing.
Not long ago, a fellow nonprofit volunteer and organizer stated to me; "unfortunately people like you and me are a dying breed these days.
Hardly anyone cares anymore.
" Yes, I've thought about that before, still, I meet people who care occasionally.
But it's difficult for folks due to many of the factors and stress of daily life.
I mean sometimes the world can really put forth a challenge, but I guess that's what makes it fun.
If everything was always wonderful, humans might get bored, they so love the sound and fury, chaos and controversy.
I've always thought that Sit-Coms on TV were one of the most dastardly inventions of our time, well not any worse than some of these "reality shows" where the most nasty Machiavellian becomes the winner, yuk! To this we aspire? So, when you ask yourself "doesn't anyone care anymore?" The answer is; yes they do, and you are a perfect example of that.
You care, and so do I, and there are many others out there that also care.
Maybe you're just talking to the wrong people, or you haven't seen all the good there is out there, because there is a lot of good.
And yes, we'd be naive if we were to say that there are not folks out there that are evil, vindictive, and hold a vendetta against society.
Just don't let it be you.
Please consider all this.
