- 1). Cover one end of the copper pipe with a soft rag.
- 2). Place the covered end of the pipe into a bench vise and tighten the vise so that it holds the pipe firmly. Avoid tightening the vice too much as it could damage the end of the pipe.
- 3). Hold the free end of the copper pipe in one hand.
- 4). Locate the juncture where the pipe will be bent and hammer that area with the rubber mallet until the desired angle is reached.
- 5). Loosen the vice and remove the copper pipe.
