As I'm sure you know, deciding to live on a conscious spiritual path has its challenges.
Not only are you going against the grain of the mainstream thinkers - which already sets you apart, but you are also asked to live from a place of trust and faith; more and more and it's not always easy...
You begin to rely on invisible and unquantifiable sources.
Your language becomes one of energetics and vibrational resonance.
You have to see past the scepticism and cynicism of those who choose to believe that they are purely the body/mind.
They have a weight of evidence and history to prove that the material world is all there is, and all that really matters.
The media, the government, the educational system and the world of economics and business, all decry you for being unrealistic, or naive, or just plain lazy! You face a barrage of criticism for losing interest in the pushing, forcing and striving of the world.
Even the family you grew up in may be the last place you can turn to for refuge - if you no longer wish to play the game in the way your family expects and/or approves of.
Add to this the core of the spiritual journey which is about being able to see the lessons or gifts in every situation; yes even the ones we find deeply traumatic.
For example, dealing with bereavement, or rejection, or serious health issues, or losing your home, or source of income.
As we mature in our awareness we are called upon more and more to turn inwards and rise above our protective ego's reactions.
Yep, there are challenges aplenty! So how do we deal with it when the going gets tough, sometimes too tough, for us to feel we can handle it? There isn't one easy answer.
There is only the willingness to trust in something that you know values, loves, and adores you always.
ALWAYS...
And yes there are times when it can be hard to feel or accept; that love.
Those times when you just want simple solutions and easy answers, and to go back to fitting in and having the approval of the mainstream world.
Yet this isn't the spiritual path The spiritual path says: You are perfect right now, right where you are.
You are perfect when someone rejects you.
You are perfect when your best efforts appear to go unnoticed by others in your world.
You are perfect when you've lost your job, your home, your income, your health.
You are perfect when nothing appears to be going right.
You are perfect when synchronicities stop and you're struggling to breathe - so stressed are you.
You are perfect when everyone is decrying you and telling you you aren't good enough.
You are perfect if you've hurt others unintentionally, or intentionally.
You are perfect...
When the going gets tough that is to be our default knowing.
We are perfect.
We are perfect in our imperfections and our neediness.
We are loved, adored and approved of; always.
We do not need to look to others to approve of us, or validate us, or tell us we are good enough in their eyes.
We are to know that if others reject or attack us, then it is a mirror for their own internal attacks and rejections.
And we know this is true, for when we attack or reject others, we have come to know we are attacking and rejecting ourselves.
When the going gets tough and the tears flow, and the fears arise, and the doubts come; then we are to look only to our inner wisdom, our inner satnav, that is always pointing us back to truth, love, and peacefulness.
If we choose to do this then we find we are always guided to the right words, the right person, the beautiful reflection of our faith and courage.
We are taken by the hand - spiritually speaking, and shown the way back to our centredness and balance.
Don't berate yourself however, if you are not able to go within when the going gets tough.
Don't turn the judgment of others, onto yourself.
Forgive yourself and accept that that is just where you are right now.
For you know from experience that once you are consciously on your path, that there is no getting off, or turning back; there is only deepening and expansion and a returning to love; over and over again.
I am with you on this journey.
I know its pains and its pitfalls only too well.
I see you.
I hear you and I extend my love to you - wherever you are and whatever you're experiencing.
Now multiply my loving attention by a billion and you still would not be able to imagine the love that you are; the love that is reaching out to you right now, and that is a beautiful knowing, beyond measure...
