- 1). Unscrew the cap from the end of the valve stem before attempting to remove the Schrader depressor. Set the cap in a safe place.
- 2). Insert the valve stem depressor removal tool into the valve stem and loosen the depressor by turning the tool counterclockwise until you can remove the depressor.
- 3). Remove the depressor from the valve stem with the removal tool and allow all the air to vent from the tire.
- 4). Install the new Schrader depressor into the valve stem with the removal tool and turn the tool clockwise until the depressor is snug inside the valve stem. Be careful not to over-tighten the depressor.
- 5). Use an air hose and compressor to fill the tire with air to its recommended pounds per square inch (PSI). Place the cap back on the end of the valve stem.
