- Mini bell pepper seeds are planted 1/4 inch deep in well-draining soil. Soil should be light and high in organic matter. Packing down the dirt on top of the seeds makes it difficult for the seeds to sprout and may prevent root development.
- Mini bell pepper seeds require temperatures of 75 to 80 F to germinate. Start them indoors in a location with intense light 10 weeks before the last frost. It is best to water them with tepid water to help maintain the soil temperature.
- Transplant the seedlings into 4-inch pots as soon as they grow four leaves. Transplant them outdoors after the daytime temperatures reach 70 F and nighttime temperatures remain above 55 F. Space the plants 18 to 24 inches apart in rows that are 24 inches apart.
