How to Install Wireless Ceiling Fan

    • 1). Assemble the fan, including the blades, as per the instructions that came with the kit.

    • 2). Take the mounting bracket and secure it to the ceiling box using the two screws that came with the ceiling fan mounting kit. The mounting bracket will have a three-quarter circle in the center of it that holds the ball at the top of the fan's downrod.

    • 3). Lift the fan and set the downrod ball joint inside the mounting bracket. This will allow you to use both hands for the wiring.

    • 4). Check the wireless receiver and the remote control to make sure that they are both set to the same frequency.

    • 5). Connect the ground wire from the ceiling fan and the downrod to the ground wire in the ceiling box.

    • 6). Look at the wireless receiver and you should notice that one side has a black and a white wire, and the other side has a white, a red and a blue wire. The blue and red should be labeled as to what they power (in most cases the blue feeds the lights and the red feeds the fan motor).

    • 7). Connect the black receiver wire to the black ceiling wire and the white receiver wire to the white ceiling wire.

    • 8). On the other side of the receiver, connect the white wire to the white ceiling fan wire. Connect the blue wire to the blue ceiling fan wire and connect the red wire to the black ceiling fan wire.

    • 9). Carefully push all of the wires and the wireless receiver up into the ceiling junction box as best you can.

    • 10

Raise the ceiling fan's canopy and screw it into place. This will keep all of the wiring and receiver unit safely inside.

    • 11

Turn the power back on to the circuit, insert the batteries into the remote control and test your wireless ceiling fan installation.
