- 1). Unplug the freezer power cord from the wall outlet.
- 2). Grasp the edges of the grille at the bottom of the freezer, and pull it straight out to release the retaining clips.
- 3). Pry the plastic cover off the top hinge on the top of the freezer with a flat-blade screwdriver. Remove the retaining screws from the hinge with a socket and ratchet wrench. Pull the hinge straight up from the top of the freezer.
- 4). Open the door a few inches, keeping in mind that it will only be supported by the bottom hinge. Lift the door straight up and place it aside.
- 5). Remove the retaining screws from the bottom hinge with a socket and ratchet wrench. Ensure that you do not lose the nylon washer on the hinge pin.
- 6). Locate the screw holes on the bottom of the freezer opposite of where the bottom hinge was removed. Line up the mounting holes in the hinge with the screw holes. Start the retaining screws into the holes by hand to avoid cross-threading them. Tighten the screws with a socket and ratchet wrench.
- 7). Loosen the retaining nut at the bottom of the hinge pin on the bottom hinge with a wrench. Remove the nut, and pull the hinge pin straight up. Insert the hinge pin into the mounting hole closest to the edge of the freezer. Replace and tighten the retaining nut.
- 8). Pry the plastic cap from the top of the handle on the freezer door with a flat-blade screwdriver. Remove the top and bottom handle retaining screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the handle from the door.
- 9). Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry off the nameplate on the opposite side of the freezer door to reveal the handle screw holes. Line up the mounting holes in the handle with the screw holes and replace the screws. Push the nameplate into the screw holes in the door where the handle originally resided.

Lift the door and position the hole in the bottom of the door over the bottom hinge pin. Lower the door onto the hinge. Close the door. Push the top hinge pin into the hole in the top of the door. Rotate the hinge as needed to line up the screw holes in the top of the freezer with the mounting holes in the hinge. Replace the top hinge retaining screws and tighten them. - 11
Push the grille back into place on the bottom of the freezer. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
