South Carolina seventh-grade science teacher Angel Simmons Lindle, 37, was arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with a 14-year-old student.
The police told the Index Journal, “The victim’s complaint went through the Ninety Six Police Department,” Sheriff Tony Davis said. “We started our investigation early Friday morning, checking a number of things. We obtained a search warrant and went to the suspect’s residence and gathered a few items there.
“The victim, who was 14 at the time but is 15 now, told us of numerous incidents between he and the suspect.”
According to the affidavits, Lindle corroborated seven incidents.
The boy told police the two had sexual relations 40 to 50 times between August 2008 and Feb. 17, 2009.
Lindle was charged with seven counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
