- 1). Turn off and unplug the coffee maker.
- 2). Open the service door on the front of the DeLonghi machine and remove the drip tray and coffee grounds container. Empty both, wash with soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry with a towel.
- 3). Push the two red "release" buttons inside and pull out the brew group. Set the brew group in a container of water and allow to soak for five minutes. Rinse well with water. Slide the brew group back onto the internal support and the pin at the bottom of the assembly. Push firmly until it clicks into position and the two red tabs appear. Return the drip tray and coffee grounds container to its position.
- 4). Lift out the water tank and clean with soapy water and a cleaning sponge. Rinse thoroughly, dry and replace it in the unit.
- 5). Use a damp cloth to clean the coffee nozzles and wipe them dry with a towel.
- 6). Check the pre-ground coffee feed funnel and remove any coffee deposits with the flat edge of a knife. Look inside the machine for dried coffee grounds and gently scrape away with the flat edge of a knife. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any additional residue.
- 7). Remove the milk spout and intake valve and the selector by pulling them out. Wash all milk components in soapy water and rinse well. Dry with a towel and replace the milk spout, intake tube and selector. Set the lid back on the milk container and turn it counterclockwise to secure.
- 8). Store the DeLonghi machine in a cool, dry location.
