- 1). Log in to your Web hosting account using an FTP client or the Web-based control panel for your domain.
- 2). Navigate to your website's root folder containing the blog that you want to move. Most FTP clients and control panels open your root folder by default; it contains the content and images that display on your homepage.
- 3). Click "New Folder" or "Subdomain" in the FTP client or control panel menu. Give the new subfolder a name in the "Name" field. Choose a memorable name because it will become part of your blog's URL; for example, if you name the folder "blog" the URL address will be "http://blog.yourwebsite.com".
- 4). Go to the root folder or other folder that currently holds your blog's content. Highlight and select all files and subfolders related to your blog and drag them to the new subdomain folder. Some programs move the files, others simply copy them; in the latter case, verify that all of the files have been copied and then delete them from the root folder.
- 1). Log in to your Google FeedBurner account.
- 2). Click the name of your blog feed in the "Feed Titles" box. Click "Edit Feed Details" under the blog feed title.
- 3). Highlight and delete the existing blog URL in the "Original Feed" input field. Type the new blog subdomain address into the input field; for example, enter "http://blog.yourwebsite.com/".
- 4). Click the "Save Feed Details" button to update FeedBurner with your new blog address.
