Is Your Life Hard?

Life can be hard- but it doesn't have to be.
Why do we so often make it so hard? I was out rollerblading one day.
I am definitely a beginner so the whole process seemed hard, especially on the hills.
However, once I got going and created some momentum and rhythm, it started to become easier.
When I noticed it getting easier, I increased my consciousness around it and actually repeated the affirmation to myself, "It doesn't have to be hard.
" As I did this, I started to glide along with much less effort and at least a bit of elegance and grace.
Larger glides rather than short ones made it easier and created some flow in my body versus fighting it.
When we fight against something, the energy builds up and fights back.
When we flow with the energy and stop fighting it, we find an easier route.
We see this in nature, like dolphins swimming in the bow wave of a boat.
Why do they do this? Because it takes little energy to swim when they access the 'energy' of the boat.
Even at work, we can fight the natural flow of our day based on being a slave to technology for example.
Some people insist on answering the phone every time it rings no matter what.
This is the phone controlling you rather than you controlling the phone.
STOP answering the phone the second it rings.
If you need focus time, let the answering machine answer the phone and set time aside during the day to return messages.
This will create much more sanity in your life because you take your control back.
E-mail is the same.
STOP reading your e-mail the second it arrives.
Why do you think you need to do this? It will still be there in an hour or four hours when you are done what you are doing.
Again, take your control back and live the life you want to live.
Of course it is important to return messages; it just doesn't have to be done the moment the message arrives.
Where is your energy today? How well are you managing it? Find ways to manage your energy and the energy around you so that you are not fighting against it.
This will take you a long way towards making life so much easier.
Feeling sorry for yourself, and your present condition, is not only a waste of energy but the worst habit you could possibly have.

Under each one, make bullet points that help explain why you find this particular area hard.
For each bullet point, draw an arrow to the right.
At the end of that arrow, reframe what is hard to something that would make it easier.
Here is just one example: managing my finances is hard - I don't know how much money I have --> balance my accounts each Tuesday evening - My debt is stressing me out --> sit down with a financial planner to figure out my financial future Finding ways to make life easier rather than hard will take away a great deal of stress and help you have much more fun in your life.
