In this section I want to touch upon two kinds of sites that will help you to spread the word about your content.
The first are the traditional social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
It's possible to link your blog's feed to those social media channels using sites like Twitterfeed.
This then distributes your content to your accounts on there and allows your friends and contacts to see what's going on at your blog.
Again, you're going where people already know you and like you.
They're therefore more likely to spread the word about you and re-post your material, sharing it with their friends.
The other sites I want to talk about are what's known as social bookmarking sites.
These are places where you can share the content that you find on the internet thatyou like and thatyou think other people may also benefit from in some way.
It's exactly the same as bookmarking a website in your browser, except everyone using the site can see it.
Examples of these sites include Delicious and Digg.
The benefit of these sites is that you quickly start to see which sites and which pieces of content are being shared and bookmarked a lot.
Also, by bookmarking the pages they like, the users of these sites are creating backlinks to that piece of content which will help its ranking not just on Digg or another bookmark site, but also in the search engines.
My strategy for getting the most from these sites is to actually pay people to bookmark me!
Some users of the various bookmarking sites will follow those links back to your site and check out your content.
Some of them will also bookmark it with their account, creating multiple 'votes' within the site for your post.
With enough of these votes, you can reach the front pages of sites like Delicious and get a lot more exposure.
These links will also count as 'social proof' with the search engines - Proof that real people in the real world have rated this content as worthy of bookmarking.
Combine this with more traditional social media like Twitter and Facebook and you're onto a winner!

- Go to Fiverr.
com and in the search box on the right, type in 'social bookmarking' or 'social bookmark'. - Find a few providers (I choose 3) that will bookmark your site to the major bookmarking sites.
If they do some of the smaller ones too, then all the better.
I've found people who will do 25 of the top sites and others who'll do 100 other sites. - Ensure the people you find will provide proof of the work being completed, in the form of some kind of report, ideally a listing of all the bookmarks.
- Pay them five dollars to complete the work.
- Once the payment has gone through, send them your link along with a description for it, your tags (keywords) and the title you want associated with it (again, this should contain your keywords).
- That's it.
