- 1). Line up the hook end of the removal tool with the crank's handle.
- 2). Slip the tip of the tool under the base of the Wrangler's window crank.
- 3). Latch the hook end of the removal tool onto the spring and pull. The window crank should come off.
- 4). Place the window crank to the side for later.
- 5). Collect the metal spring and place it next to the crank you just removed.
- 1). Slide a cotton towel between the crank and the Wrangler's door panel.
- 2). Pull the towel inward.
- 3). Pull the towel back and forth until it catches onto an end of the metal clip. The crank should come off.
- 4). Pull the crank off the door if it did not completely drop out.
- 5). Discard the crank if you plan on replacing it, but keep the metal clip for later use.
