- 1). Enter your car with your ignition key and a straightened out paperclip.
- 2). Insert your key into the ignition cylinder and leave it in the "Off" position. Insert the paperclip into the small slot just off of the key slot and make sure you push it in all the way.
- 3). Turn the key to the "ACC" position and use both hands to pull the cylinder out with your key and the paperclip.
- 4). Place the cylinder down and remove the key before removing the paperclip.
- 5). Slide the new cylinder into place and then insert the key to push it into place. Insert the paperclip and then turn the key to "ACC" to lock the cylinder.
