- 1). Rinse any existing algae off the boat hull with a pressure washer. The combination of water pressure and heat will eliminate the existing algae.
- 2). Apply an anti-algae agent to the hull with a paint roller. Allow the chemical to set for the amount of time recommended by the instructions and then rinse it off. This helps prevent further algae from growing on the boat.
- 3). Avoid driving the boat through any algae patches in the water because algae can attach to the hull and start spreading if not removed.
- 4). Remove the boat from the water if it isn't being used regularly.
