We are all looking for easy and simple ways to do things with little to no effort.
We also realize that it usually takes some effort on our part to see some form of success in whatever path we take.
As the title says dunk the fun and easy way, which is what we are going to discuss but I just want to make the point that fun does not mean effortless.
So I'm going to suggest some things that can be done, that takes some effort but are fun.
If you are having fun with it, it will not seem like such a burden even if it takes some effort.
This method does not consist of hard work but consistent work.
Everyday rain, sleet, snow you need to do this.
I'm just joking but I want to drill home the fact that dedication is needed.
Dunking a Tennis Ball There are countless ways to be creative when learning how to jump higher in basketball, but a method that I have found to be very effective and fun at the same time is to dunk with a tennis ball.
Dunking with a tennis ball allows you to work on your vertical jump but also will keep you motivated because you are still dunking a ball.
Dunking is a very exciting feeling that makes a player feel powerful and a little cocky.
The rush you get from it is absolutely unbelievable.
Imagine that you are dunking on Kobe Bryant or Lebron James or whoever you want and use this as your fuel to keep pushing through in the last moments of your workout.
The Workout The workout consists of a very basic plan of 50 dunks off of two legs, 25 dunks off of the right leg and 25 dunks off of the left leg.
This method is working to strengthen both legs evenly.
This workout should be increased by 10 to 15 dunks per leg each week.
You should be jumping at least 250 to 300 times a day.
I know it sounds easy but remember the rim has to be at a challenging height.
The rim has to be just high enough that you can only get your fingertips over the front.
Using Resistance When dunking becomes to easy the next move is to add a little resistance, such as a set of 5lb ankle weights.
Do not use any ankle weights heavier than 2.
5lbs per leg.
This will be much heavier than you can imagine.
Once that milestone is reach where you are dunking the basketball every time with no misses, get creative with your dunks.
Be fancy and enjoy the process and you will be well on your way to jumping higher in basketball the fun and easy way.
