There are many ways to quit smoking and each method is more suited to different people, there are many easy ways to quit smoking. The method you choose and its ease in aiding you to quit smoking all depends on your body, the amount you smoke and how long you have been smoking for. Some people will find a method that they find really easy and others will struggle.
One of the reasons people struggle is that they are using new tools; now one thing to realise is that you don't need more tools! You have all the tools you need to quit smoking within you. We are creatures of habit and therefore to be able to quit smoking we need to change the habit of smoking, this is done through the power of the subconscious mind, the subconscious mind is much, much, much more powerful then the conscious mind and hence this is what really drives us. Some methods used to trick the mind are outlined below; this is not an exhaustive list however gives and idea of the most used methods which are all easy ways to quit smoking.
A very easy way to quit smoking is to just start smoking less each day; this will enable the body to slowly get used to the reduction in nicotine. However there is a rule and the rule is that you must give up smoking within 2 weeks, if by the second week you have not given up then you will find it hard to give up totally. Don't fear though, if by the second week you haven't just start again and try harder, for most people it takes a few tries before they actually quit.
It is never easy doing things all by yourself so why not tell other people about what you are doing and educate them on how it may be difficult for you and when you may need help from them to motivate you to quit. It is always easier to do things if you do it in a group instead of doing it alone, as the phrase goes "many hands make light work".
Using nicotine patches in combination with other methods is third on our list of easy ways to quit smoking, this will help replace the nicotine on a slow release, however you will have to stop using the nicotine patches at some point as well.
Lastly, I think this is the easiest method by far is to occupy your mind. It is not easy to just quit and not replace the time, however if you play a sport or take up a hobby you will find that your mind does not have the time to think about smoking and the trick is to trick your mind. This method by far is my favourite way to stop smoking as it can also get you healthier, make you new friends and fills your time up.
It is key to remember to be determined, focused and driven to quit. Often times your cravings will only last a matter of minutes, so keep your mind occupied during that craving and you will find that it is easy to quit smoking.
