Six Foods You Should Eat to Achieve Weight Loss

Apples

Do you feel like cheating on a diet? Grab an apple instead. Apples are a great low-calorie alternative to starchy food like spaghetti and donuts. They are best eaten before a meal as they help suppress the appetite. Aside from this, apple also has antioxidants that play a key role in preventing metabolic syndrome.

 Black Beans

Black beans are a great protein source. They can be added to meat and vegetable dishes to add flavor. One cup of black beans contains no saturated fat and instead, it has 15 grams of protein, which is good if you are trying to lose weight. Consider this the next time you decide to binge-eat.

Oatmeal

Add oatmeal to your diet because it is rich in fiber and promotes a healthier digestive system. People who suffer from constipation experience more weight gain than individuals with healthy bowel movements. You can try substituting the last meal of the day with a bowl of oatmeal. Feel free to add a slice of fruit for added sweetness but avoid adding sugar.

Acerola Cherries

Your weight gain might be due to vitamin C deficiency. Since our body does not produce this vitamin naturally, it would be helpful if you eat more food that contains vitamin C. Acerola cherries are said to have the highest amount of ascorbic acid. While it may be too sour to eat directly from the tree, you may incorporate it with other dishes. Lentils

Since they are an excellent source of protein, you have the option to exclude meat from your diet when you eat lentils. Salmon

Omega-3 fatty acids are the kind of fat found in fish. They improve our body's sensitivity to insulin, which promotes a decrease in belly fat and an increase in muscle mass. Salmon is a flavorful dish that can also keep your heart healthy and prevent cardiovascular disease. Steam or grilled salmon is great though you need to avoid fried dishes.

Your diet may make or break your goal of losing weight. Choose filling food that provides you with vitamins and nutrients, with minimal fat and sugar content. No weight loss can work if you stick to an unhealthy diet.
