- 1). Turn off the dishwasher breaker in your service panel.
- 2). Unscrew the nut on the top of the wash arm, then remove the wash arm.
- 3). Pull the water supply tube off of the rear of the pump and motor assembly.
- 4). Remove the screws securing the pump outlet, which supports the lower wash arm. Remove the pump outlet.
- 5). Secure the wash impeller using an adjustable wrench, then remove the bolt from the center of it.
- 6). Pry the wash impeller out of the dishwasher using a flat-head screwdriver.
- 7). Remove the screws located below the wash impeller, securing the separator assembly to the bottom of the dishwasher. Remove the separator assembly.
- 8). Remove the grind bushing and chopper blade from the center of the drain impeller shaft and remove the drain check ball.
- 9). Remove the screw securing the drain cover and gasket. Remove the drain cover and gasket.

Remove the drain impeller, using a flat-head screwdriver to pry it if necessary. - 11
Pry the motor shaft seal off of the pump housing using a flat-head screwdriver. - 12
Wipe off the shaft using a clean towel. - 13
Apply dish soap to the new motor shaft seal. - 14
Slide the new seal over the motor shaft. Press it down to form a tight seal. - 15
Reassemble the dishwasher by reversing the steps taken to disassemble it.
