Most people who have ever lived have believed that the universe and all life on earth were created by God.
It was only until recent history that a very small number of people began believing that maybe God does not exist and that we are just the result of a nearly impossible stroke of luck.
But does science support this? To answer the question we must first understand that science is defined as those things that are proven to be true.
That means in order for something to be scientifically accurate, it must be proven.
Right away we have a problem.
You see, those who claim that we evolved from monkeys and that this process has been going on for millions, or billions, of years, did not live on earth millions or billions of years ago.
Furthermore, those who claim that the earth has existed for millions or billions of years and that the theory of evolution is fact, lack any evidence of one life form evolving into another.
Sure, we observe changes within species (all dogs came from the wolf, etc.
), but an increase in the genetic information in an organism has never been observed in any way.
When you study the actual observable science that we have available today with an honest, unbiased, open mind, you will find that not only is evolution not strongly support by the evidence that we have available, it is based on a large number of assumptions.
You will find that whether true science supports creation or evolution depends solely on your worldview.
Your worldview is your belief of how the universe and all living creatures came into existence.
As Christians, we believe the account of Genesis, and the rest of the Holy Scriptures and we believe that science strongly supports it.
Evolutionists believe that we are the result of an incredibly improbable stroke of luck that caused dead matter to become alive.
And here we have yet another problem for evolution.
Of all of those who support the theory, not one has ever been able to take dead matter and generate life.
As Christians, we believe that is because only God can create life.
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and as a good and loving God, he gave us free will.
We used that free will to do things that we know are wrong and go against Him.
As a perfectly just God, that disobedience had to be punished.
That righteous penalty is death (physical and spiritual) and that death is eternal.
And we believe that because God so loved us, he came to earth fully God and fully man to legally pay our penalty for us! And that all who accept Jesus Christ (all that He stands for and is, in His very being) into their heart will be saved from the righteous judgement of our righteous God!
