What you give a bride-to-be at a shower often depends on the type of shower you are attending. For example, sometimes people specify you should bring lingerie, something for the kitchen or holiday decorations. Every new bride needs a good set of china. Odds are, she has registered for china from a certain store. Buy a piece or two of that, or choose something different. For example, select some fun everyday china that the couple can use. Alternatively, buy her some holiday china. Choose Christmas-themed bowls and plates, for example.

Buy the bride things she can use on her honeymoon. This will depend largely on where she's going. For the bride who is heading to Europe, get her a cute passport holder, a travel jewelry case so that things don't get tangled, and some guide books to wherever she's going. If she and her new husband are heading to the tropics, get her a beach bag, beach towels and a gift card to a local swimsuit store.

Brides can get nervous and stressed before their big wedding day. So help her unwind a bit with a gift card to a local spa. She can have a manicure and pedicure, get a facial, a massage and any other spa treatments she might like. Alternatively, give her a gift card for a wine tasting, meal at a restaurant or something else she likes to do. But, include on the card that she has to take one of her best girlfriends for a night of unwinding.
