- 1). Using a pipette, measure out 9.9ml of distilled water into your test tube.
- 2). Draw up 0.1ml of serum glucose into your pipette and add this to the test tube.
- 3). Insert the test tube bung into your test tube, sealing it.
- 4). Shake the test tube vigorously and place it back into the test tube rack.
- 5). Wait for the liquid to settle. Your serum glucose/water solution is now 1:100.
