  Membership with the American Automobile Association (AAA) provides more than roadside assistance. Your AAA card can also get you discounts on air travel, cruises and even hotel accommodations. In fact, the AAA website has a hotel search feature where you'll find AAA hotels in Chicago, Illinois, at a discounted rate. These hotels aren't owned by AAA. But they do offer lower prices to AAA members if you ask for a AAA discount and present your card upon arrival.
  
  AAA evaluates more than 60,000 hotels, motels and restaurants every year for its Diamond Rating program. Five-diamond establishments are the best of the best, and one-diamond properties are clean with simple offerings. Poorly maintained hotels are excluded from the Diamond Rating process.
