Satan's greatest temptation is to get us to question our identity.
Satan came at Adam with that and he came at Jesus with it too.
When he came at Jesus, he said if, if, if, you are the Son of God and when he came at Adam he said, "The day you eat of this tree you will be like God.
" Adam and Eve were already like God; they were created in the image and likeness of God, but Satan convinced them that they weren't.
He convinced them that they needed to eat of the tree and then they would be like God; that was a lie out of the pit of hell, because they were already like God! Jesus knew He was the Son of God so Satan couldn't convince Him.
We see this same deception even with Moses in Exodus 3:11.
Moses said, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?" Here Satan has Moses questioning his ability to be able to do what God wanted him to do.
Exodus 3:12 gave us the key to Moses' going to Pharaoh; God "said" He would certainly be with Moses.
In other words, God said, "Moses, forget about who you are, I'm going with you.
" It's not about who we are; it's about Who's going with us! He lives on the inside of us so He will go with us wherever we go! The Word of God tells us, "He will never leave us nor forsake us even to the ends of the earth.
" I've jotted down a few things from the Word of God that we need to know: we were chosen in Him, we died with Him, we were buried with Him, we were justified with Him, we were raised with Him, we were made righteous in Him, we were seated with Him, we are complete in Him, we are rooted and built up in Him, and we are glorified in Him; these are quotes from the Bible.
In I John 4 it says we dwell in Him and He dwells in us.
In Acts it says in Him we live and move and have our being.
In 2 Corinthians 1:20 it says, all of the promises of God are yes and amen in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "if any man be in Christ he is a new creation old things have passed away and all things have become new.
" That's who we are we are 'in Him' and He's in us; we are one with Him.
Colossians 3:1-3, "If then you were raised with Christ seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God.
Set your mind on things above, not on the earth.
For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
" Our life is hidden and, unfortunately, very few Christians have tapped into it; they don't even know it exists.
For the most part Christians live defeated lives and the reason being is simply because of where their mind is.
They think they're of this world, but they're not! We are not of this world; we are of that world! Paul told Timothy in the Word of God to stir himself up because of the prophecy that had gone forth.
You may not realize it but, what I've been speaking to you about, which is, what is in you in Christ, and what He's done in you, is prophetic; so stir yourself up with that.
Start saying what God has said about you, set your mind on the things of God, get God minded, and then step out and bring the kingdom of God into people's lives in the earth!
