Leave It to Beaver - OLTL Recap for Wednesday, January 7, 2009

At the cottage, Rex is loading Gigi with kisses because Ultra Violet hit pay dirt on New Year’s Eve. The make-out session is interrupted by a knock at the door. It’s Natalie with Chloe. When the redhead sees Rex re-buttoning his shirt and Gigi in the background, she apologizes for her announced visit. She is persuaded to stay and Gigi takes advantage of the time to use her motherly skills on Chloe.

The duo is thrilled when they hear about the redhead’s engagement to Jared. After Nat departs, Gigi sighs and hints at wanting another child. With this news, Rex suggests they get Shane’s OK and then vows to never leave her. They kiss.

In the St. Ann’s parlor, Jessica walks in as Wes is probing Brody about the psycho blonde. When introduced to Wes, Jess jokes that he could be one of her alters --- Jess, Tess, Bess and Wes! Sensing discomfort from the guys, she apologizes for Tess causing Brody any pain. After Wes leaves, Jessica painfully listens to Brody relate Tess’s trying to bed him down and is especially embarrassed when he tells her Bess shared with the doc his visions of the boy. When Jess suggests terminating their friendship, Brody is insistent that they stay friends. He needs her because she is making him face the visions of the boy and she needs him to help her combat her alters’ reappearances. As the two re-bond on the couch, the Iraqi child and Tess look over their shoulders.

Back at his apartment, Wes looks at a photo of Brody and him in uniform. “Let it go man,” he says aloud then puts the photo in a drawer.

Over at the Buchanan Palace restaurant, Viki and Clint are upset that Nora has requests permission to have Jessica testify against Todd. The DA explains that since Dr. Joplin committed suicide and Janet has disappeared, that Jess is her only hope to get Manning the punishment he deserves. Viki points out its risky using her daughter as one never knows which alter may come out. Nora ponders in deep thought when Viki comments how it’s a wonder that her brother didn’t kidnap Jess’s baby since the two babies were born the same day. Viki tells of her last visit with her troubled child and how Bess told her that she’s harboring a terrible secret which Jess can’t handle.

At another table, Tea drills Lola over the night of the death of her mother. The teen is very evasive with any discussion of the event. Meanwhile at Cris’s apartment, Vega demands to know from the immigration office just who reported the fraud. Sarah walks in and says, “I did.” Cris pleads his case to the officer that Sarah is just a “jealous, vindictive bitch” and explains she’s just upset that he dumped her for Vanessa. The officer promises he will be investigating her complaint and leaves. Cris dismisses Ms. Montez. When he tries to assure Roberts there’s nothing going on with him and Vanessa, she relates the kiss she witnessed on live feed New Year’s Eve and announces that she’s leaving for LA to manage the band. “Goodbye!" Back at the restaurant, Vanessa walks in on Tea grilling the child. After asking Lola to leave, she warns the attorney to stay away from Lola!

Over at the diner, Jared finds bribing David to return to Tibet is becoming quite a challenge. Vickers chants as he is tempted when he sees a briefcase full of money. He babbles Tibetan jargon and tells Banks his life is now an “unpolluted pond of peace,” then suggests that Jared spend his time seeking out the true heir. Jared then tells him that Clint is just short of killing him and it would be in his best interests to hightail it back to Tibet. “Think of the sandals you could buy with this money!” Vickers thumbs through the money and reluctantly returns it to the briefcase. As the “monk” chants, Banks buries his head in his hands.

Faraway at St. Blazes Island, Dorian in cowboy hat greets Beaver from his all night drinking binge. Flashback: Dorian invites him to her room for champagne since his room is not ready yet. He pops the cork of the champagne and he partakes as Lord secretly dumps several glasses in a nearby plant. He finally passes out and upon awaking, Dorian makes him think he already shared the secret about his mission and had a night of delight with “Sugar.” He is so guilt ridden about having to leave all the Buchanan family penniless and giving it all to Vickers, that if he weren’t bound by law, he’d walk away from it all. Lord is smug as she’s finally got information. Beaver needs to shower so Dorian tells him she’ll work on getting fresh towels while he’s in the shower. There’s a knock and it’s “Mel” with fresh towels. “Mel” questions Lord’s motives, and then disappears as Beaver returns to the room. He wants to make sure that she doesn’t tell a sole about David Vickers as the sole heir. He kisses her on the hand and calls her “Sugar.” “Your secret is safe with me,” she coyly replies and waves goodbye to Beaver as he departs.
