- 1). Drill a 3/8-inch hole in the center of the cheese grater's handle.
- 2). Tie a knot in the cord of a drop pendant light socket, 2 inches from the light socket. Feed the end of the cord through the hole and pull the cord through until the knot reaches the hole.
- 3). Remove 2 inches from the light cord's outer jacket at the end of the cord. Take 1/2-inch of insulation off of the ends of the exposed black and white wires. Depending on the light socket, this may already be done.
- 4). Loosen the screw on the electrical plug's cover then remove the cover. Slide the cover onto the light cord. Loosen the two screws on the plug and wrap the ends of the black and white wires around the screws -- one per screw. Tighten the screws.
- 5). Slide the plug cover over the wiring and attach it with the screw.
