- 1). Open an existing Microsoft Access page with at least two data access pages.
- 2). Click "Pages" in the main database window to view a list of your data access pages.
- 3). Click the data access page you want to create the hyperlink on and press "Design."
- 4). Click the "Hyperlink" button in the toolbox. This looks like a globe with a chain link in the middle. Ensure that the "Wizard" button, which looks like a wand, is highlighted. If not, click this button first.
- 5). Draw a small square on your data access page where you want the hyperlink located.
- 6). Click "Page in This Database" under the "Link To" area in the "Insert Hyperlink" box.
- 7). Select the name of the target page from the provided list. The data access page you are linking to must already exist before this step or it will not appear in the list.
- 8). Enter the text you want to display on your data access page in the "Text to Display" text box.
- 9). Press "Server Filter."

Enter the filter criteria in the "Server Filter" dialog box. Criteria should be in the format of a WHERE clause.
For instance, if you want to filter data on your second data access page based on the data entered in the "Name" box, the criteria would look like the following: "Name = '[Name]'" (without the quotes). The first "Name" is the name of the field. The "Name" in brackets is used to pass the data within the field to the next data access page. - 11
