Facial Exercises to Prevent Wrinkles

    Neck

    • Sit down into a sturdy, high-backed chair. Begin by tilting your head upwards toward the ceiling. Keeping your lips closed, begin to mimic chewing motions. Mimic the chewing motions for five counts, then relax your neck, return your head back to its normal position and repeat the exercise 20 times.

      Keep your head tilted back and your lips closed. Pucker your lips and stretch them into a kissing motion toward the ceiling. Hold for 10 counts, then release the pose and return your head back to its normal position. Repeat this neck exercise five times.

      Tilt your head back toward the ceiling. Close your lips and relax them. Move your lower lip as far above your top lip as you can. Hold the position for five breaths, relax your lips and repeat the exercise five times.

    Cheek

    • Remain sitting in the chair. Relax your lips and gently close them. Pucker your lips and then use your cheek muscles to slightly pull them down into a pouting position. Remain in the position for 10 breaths and then relax your lips. Repeat this lip exercise at least 10 times.

      You will need to look into a mirror for this exercise to ensure you're doing these movements correctly. Smile as widely as you can with your lips closed and the corners of your mouth turned upward. Wrinkle your nose. You should see and feel your cheek muscles move up. Hold the pose for five breaths and relax. Repeat this exercise about 10 times.

      Now, turn the corners of your lips upward and move your cheek muscles in toward your eyes. Try to get your top lip as close to your nose as you possibly can. Hold the position for 10 breaths, then relax and repeat five times.

    Lips

    • Sit in a relaxed position with your lips slightly open. Pucker your lips outward and move your lips upward toward your nose. Hold the position for 10 breaths and then relax and repeat five times.

      Purse your lips together, lift your lips up to your nose and hold the pose for five counts, then relax and repeat five times.

      Keep your teeth together and your lips closed. Smile as wide as you can without opening your mouth. Hold the pose for five breaths and then position your lips into a pointed kiss position. Hold the pose for five more breaths and then relax your lips. Repeat the sequence 10 more times.
