- 1). Align a window crank snap ring tool with the handle and arm of the window crank.
- 2). Work the edges of the snap ring tool under the edges of the crank's base.
- 3). Push the tool inwards. The crank should come off. If it doesn't, try the same process, but from the opposite angle.
- 4). Pull the crank from the Chevrolet's door, if it didn't come off all the way, and retrieve the snap ring for later use.
