Marketing With Articles: 5 Frequently Asked Questions From Newbies

If you are completely new to marketing with articles most likely you have all sorts of questions about how it's done and what to expect.
I've noticed that some of the most brilliant questions come from complete newbies, so I've compiled a few of the most commonly asked ones here.
Whether you consider yourself to be a beginner or not, you may be wondering some of these same things...
1) Should I be worried about building links too quickly? The basis for this concern stems from not wanting to put up any red flags with Google that make it think that you are trying to manipulate or falsely influence the search engine rankings.
For this reason you should be conscious of how many articles you are submitting.
You want to submit enough articles to make an impact, but not so many that you set off alarms with Google.
If you are submitting through an automated article submission service, your articles are getting widespread distribution.
Therefore, you do not need to submit as many articles to get the same effect as submitting manually.
When doing automatic submissions, it is good to aim for about 8 articles a month per website.
2) Am I supposed to write about my business in my articles? What should I write about? Great question--When marketing with articles, your goal with your article is not to promote your business, website, services, or products.
The goal of your article is to teach your readers how to do something related to your niche that will make their lives easier.
Answer their common questions or give them instructions on how to do something, but do not try to convince anyone to buy your products or services in the article body.
Save that type of sales talk for the resource box.
The resource box is the short author bio that accompanies the article.
In that space you can tell about yourself, your business, and your website.
3) Can I put links in my articles? Some publishers will allow links that are non-promotional (not linking to your website) and relevant to the information in your article, while other publishers require that articles are free of links.
Generally speaking, to get the most bang for your buck with your articles and get the most republications possible, it is a good idea not to include links within the article body.
However, if you really want to include links in your articles, keep these guidelines in mind: *Most publishers do not like to see links to your own website in the article body.
*Be sure that the links are relevant to your topic.
*Do not include affiliate links in the article body.
*Limit your article links as much as possible--some sites that allow links in the article will limit them to only two per article.
4) The ranking for my website goes up and down--is there something wrong? Nothing is wrong--fluctuation with rankings is completely normal.
There are many factors that go into the reasons why rankings dance around--algorithm changes in the search engine, differences in the way that other websites link to your site, changes you have made to your website, what your competitors are doing, etc.
What you are looking for is an average ranking for a specific keyword over time, as opposed to expecting your ranking to stay the same.
5) How many articles am I supposed to submit? I highly recommend that you use an automatic article submitter when marketing with articles, because it radically decreases the number of articles you need to submit in order to see results, and at the same time it radically improves your results and increases the likelihood that you will stick with your marketing campaign over the long term.
When submitting automatically, shoot for 8 articles a month for each website that you are marketing.
As a beginner, it is completely normal to have lots of questions.
If you are wondering anything else, please don't be afraid to ask! Asking questions is the best way to learn!
