I was discussing recipes with a friend.
He told me a story about a noodle bake recipe his great grandmother use to make.
It was a dish that always was a comfort for him when he visited her.
Unfortunately, it was one of her recipes that she never put on paper and was lost to the family upon her death.
I was surprised to hear she never told anyone how to prepare the dish.
I always think it is sad when we lose a family recipe.
I decided, I needed to ensure my recipes got passed on to my friends and family.
I was looking at some of my recipe cards and I realized no one would be able to read some of my notations.
So I am going to start putting some of these in typed form for everyone to enjoy.
So with all this in mind, I started looking for a Noodle Bake recipe to surprise my friend and may be help him distinguish what his grandmother had in her recipe.
Food is a powerful brain stimulator and sometimes helps trigger memories of our past.
I am hopeful that this will trigger something for him.
