- 1). Clean off the existing vinyl dashboard. Use a dry rag to remove dust, and then dampen the rag with vinyl cleaner to remove any built-up dirt and grime that has collected on the dashboard. Dry the surface with another rag.
- 2). Place the new vinyl face down across the entire dashboard. Push it into the back corners entirely up against the windshield so you can measure the correct fit. Trace the perimeter of the dash onto the vinyl with a pen or pencil. Also trace over the vents and other open areas so you can cut those out as well.
- 3). Take the new vinyl off of the dash, and begin applying the aerosol glue to the entire dashboard. Spray a thick coating of glue onto the dash and work quickly.
- 4). Lay the vinyl face up onto the dash, and begin pressing it into place starting with the back part up against the windshield. Press firmly, and then work your hands back and forth until you begin to move toward the front of the dash.
- 5). Press firmly throughout the application process, and smooth over the entire surface with flat hands to remove any air bubbles between the dash and the vinyl.
- 6). Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to dry completely.
