Games to Play at a Halloween Party for Teens

    Halloween Scavenger Hunt

    • Create a list of items relating to Halloween. Teens will look for a pumpkin, pieces of Halloween costumes, decorations, orange and black items and even certain types of Halloween candy. When the teens arrive at the party, divide them into smaller groups of three-four people and give each group a list. The teens have one hour to find everything on the list or as many items as possible. Ask your neighbors for help before the party and give the teens a list of neighbors that have items on the list. The teens can also visit their own homes, if they live close by, to find items on the list. The team that finds the most items in the time allowed, wins the scavenger hunt game.

    Gross Eating Contest

    • For a gross eating contest, you need a variety of foods that the teens won't like and foods that simple look gross or disgusting. Offer chicken gizzards, beef heart, tongue, fish cheeks or fish eyeballs. Mix in a few candy items, including miniature candy bars. Place all the foods in dishes and set the dishes on the counter. Assign gross foods an even number and sweet foods an odd number. Alternatively, assign a dice roll of two to 10 to gross foods and the other numbers to sweet foods. Divide the teens into two groups. Each team member rolls the dice and eats whatever food turns up. Give the team a point, when one of the members completes their challenge. The team with the most points after the last roll is the winner.

    Candy Corn Toss

    • Place two large black pots or plastic cauldrons on one side of the room and divide the teens into two groups. Give each group a set amount of candy corn and arrange them on the opposite side of the room, facing the pots. Set a timer for 60 seconds. When you announce, "go", the players must throw their candy corn across the room, landing it in their cauldron. The winning team is the one with the most candy corn in their cauldron.
