Charles Widmore

Charles is the father of Desmond's love, Penny. Charles never thought Desmond was good enough to be with his daughter and did everything he could to keep Desmond away from Penny. When Charles sponsored a boat race around the world, Desmond entered. Desmond got caught in a storm and washed up on the island.

Penny Widmore

Penny is Desmond's love who has continued to search for him after he disappeared during a boat race around the world. Penny spoke to Charlie before he died and found out that Desmond was alive and doing well.
Naomi claimed to have been sent by Penny, but Penny told Charlie that she doesn't know Naomi.
