- 1). Read the owner's manual to familiarize yourself with the procedure.
- 2). Remove the tire kit from behind the seat. Separate the kit into its individual components.
- 3). Find the access hole behind and above the rear bumper. Insert the flat end of the extension bar into the access hole until it engages the tire lift mechanism.
- 4). Slip the wrench onto the other end of the bar and turn counterclockwise to lower the tire to the ground.
- 5). Lift one side of the tire and push the retainer -- on the end of the cable -- through the center hole in the wheel.
