- 1). Pry up the stainless steel around the window by wedging a molding tool underneath. Slide the tool between the steel and rubber, and pry up on the steel; take care not to damage it.
- 2). Slide the molding tool to the back of the outside of the window along the rubber trim. Move it along until you reach the metal clip screw.
- 3). Press down on the clip with the tool to release it from the rubber and toward the car. Pull up on the stainless steel, and remove it from the car.
- 4). Pry up on the rubber with a putty knife to get it started, and peel the rubber from the car. Continue until you have removed all the rubber or it breaks off. Restart the peeling process if it breaks off.
- 5). Remove the other piece of steel around the window in the same manner as the first, and take out the rubber molding in the same way. Continue around the entire area of the car until you have removed all the molding.
