- 1). Open your word processing program, and select the option to create a new document.
- 2). Write your title in large, bold font. You want your headline to stand out and make others want to read more about your business or event. The title is basically the first impression that the readers get, so you have to make it a good one. Try to keep the headline short and to the point.
- 3). Insert images in your flyer that pertain to your business or event. This attracts the reader's attention and pulls them in. With the right images, you can peak interest in your target audience and get them to read the rest of the information on your flyer.
- 4). Include all the necessary information that you want to get across to your target audience. If you are advertising your business, include some of the products or services that you offer. If you are hosting an event, include the time, location and purpose of the event.
- 5). Include a map to the location of your business or event. This is especially helpful if it is in a secluded location that people might have trouble finding. Be sure to include a phone number in case people need further directions.
- 6). Print your flyers on colored paper. This may not be feasible if you are on a limited budget, as colored paper is more expensive than plain white paper. However, colored paper can make your flyers stand out and get noticed.
