Profanity - The Power of a 4 Letter Word

When starting and while running your home based business, at some point you almost [for some always] use "bad" language.
The first time you let loose with a whole string of unacceptable words, can be quite liberating or a total shock! Believe it or not, today, more than ever, your business success depends on the power of a 4 letter word.
The good news is the word I am speaking of has absolutely nothing to do with swearing, bad language or profanity.
I would like to call your attention to the word...
BLOG By now you should at least know what a blog is, so I won't bore you with a definition.
However do you know what a blog can do for your business success? A blog can attract links, attention, publicity, trust and search [engine] rankings.
Why are these important? Because you want to make your site more accessible to search engines which will improve the volume and quality of your site traffic.
Have you ever tried typing [your] industry key words in Google to find your site? Do you wonder why your site is not listed among those found? Well, you need more links, attention and publicity to acquire a higher search [engine] ranking.
I know, I know...
you have no budget for a blog, you have no time for updates, your web designer takes way too long to make changes and your team [or volunteers] are not exactly techies.
Yet, you still want to know "How do I create a blog?" Don't worry, there are FREE easy blogs that bring together features like comments, easy updates, archiving, sub-pages, categorization, multiple feeds and so much more, that allow your blog to flourish.
Give one of these a try:
  • WordPress not only can you install on your own site; you can use the same software on their site and save yourself all of the technical work.
  • Blogger a service owned by Google, is a way to have your blogs hosted for free and you can post as much as you want.
Once you master how to create a blog, here are 5 tasks you should do to make sure the power of a BLOG benefits your business: 1.
Host on your domain.
Remember the idea is to drive traffic to your site.
Make it easy for your readers to remember the location by using a subdomain or sub-section of your primary domain.
2.
Post often.
Keeping your blog up to date is much easier than your web site.
Keep post short.
You can send updates via email or your mobile phone.
3.
Make it easy to subscribe
.
There are many ways to offer a subscription they range from email to RSS feeds.
Don't use just one, offer as many options to your readers as possible.
4.
Ask for comments.
Comments are a good way to have frequent updates.
Just make sure you have the ability to deny or approve comments before they are posted.
5.
Reply to comments.
You asked for comments now don't ignore your readers.
Your replies will help keep you in the loop and build a greater network of readers.
BLOG Don't let this 4 letter word be the missing ingredient of your business success.
